Abstract Art by DB
About

My name is Dominika and I'm a self-taught abstract painter from Antwerp, Belgium.

Ever since I can remember, I was always busy doodling on every blank sheet of paper within my reach. Yet, I picked up a canvas and acrylics as a part of my assignment at school when I was 13. I got obsessed with René Magritte's The Son of Man and struggled for hours to grasp the spirit of his masterpiece - see the effects below.
It has taken me years to be able to express myself and develop my own style.

I have experimented a lot with my paintings in terms of color and method. Influenced by various painters and musicians from the past and present, Mexican folk art, and modernist architecture, I mix my abstract styles with a modern swirl.
Full of vibrant colors and unconventional shapes my paintings are eye candy to those who love contemporary abstract art.
